Marion served our Moyock community on the Currituck Board of Commissioners. My own personal experience was that she was firm, fair, and honest. When she was elected to her first term, I was serving on the County’s Board of Adjustment. Marion called me personally to let me know that she would be replacing me with her own appointment. I thought that her taking the time to call me, was a classy and nice touch. It probably came from her background in human resources.

Several years later near the end of her second term I ran into Marion at a local business and while we were exchanging pleasantries, she asked if she could re-appointment me to the Board of Adjustment to fill an unexpired term. How could I say no.

We lift up Marion to the Lord, and ask that her family be blessed with the Love of Jesus Christ and enveloped in God’s Grace, compassion and comfort.
