Did You Know is the weekly bulletin of New Wesleyan
Thought of the Week

Be strong and courageous in these troubling times. God doesn’t mince words, He is direct in when He speaks. We cannot and must not live in fear of the COVID-19 virus or of the civil discourse we currently face. That doesn’t mean we should let our guards down, but we must continue to live our lives to the fullest extent possible.

We continue to meet in our small group each Sunday as we have done since the first week of the Quarantine. God has rewarded us with good health, perseverance and His guidance.

Tomorrow is the first Sunday of June, and we will receive communion and give thanks for the many blessings of God.

Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Prayer Requests

At New Wesleyan we believe that prayer is central to everything we do. You can reach us anytime by using the form at the bottom of this page. Our prayer warriors are spread around the world but united in prayer.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6

We are in fervent prayer for:

  • Charlene Small as she struggles with the enormous loss of Mark. We also keep Marks children in our thoughts and prayers too.
  • Deborah Smith who is fighting Ocular Melanoma Metastatic Disease and a broken femur.
  • Second Lieutenant Robbie Freytes, Florida National Guard who is being deployed to Washington, DC to augment the DC National Guard.
  • The body of Enrique Roman-Martinez a soldier from Ft. Bragg was found at Cape Lookout National Seashore, we pray for his family and friends. He had been missing since May 22nd.

Pray Without Ceasing
Mark & Charlene

At 2:00pm on Sunday, June 7th we pause in prayer and celebrate the life of Mark Small. Mark was the husband of Charlene Small of GA and passed away rather suddenly from a heart attack last week. His service will be held in Hoschton, Ga at this same time.

Childcare Update

We have updated our childcare page for the Moyock, NC area. This page contains only state recognized centers in the local commuting area.

We are entering Week 12 of our prayer series with UNITE714. We are joining churches around the world in prayer for an end to COVID-19 and encourage you to join us each day at 7:14am and 7:14pm. The prayer is written out for you, and simply reading the text at either or both time or any other time of day will support this global call to prayer.

We have posted weeks 12 through 14 to our website.

2 Chronicles 7:14 King James Version (KJV)

” If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Our Series with David Servant

In an effort to free up more of our resources and time, we will no longer post Heavenword7 on a daily basis. Instead we will post an entire week at one time. We hope this makes it easier for you to watch ahead as we devote a little more time to all of our ministries.
