Did You Know is the weekly bulletin of New Wesleyan
Thought of the Week
We have seen the tragic deaths of George Floyd and Rayshard Brooks played out int he media, and officers tried and convicted before the completion of an investigation. In one case the death of George Floyd is clearly unjustified from the video evidence. In the other case of Rayshard Brooks the video we have been shown in the media indicates the shooting was likely justified, though the media, the Atlanta Mayor and District Attorney have already convicted the officer absent an investigation or trial.
Both of the deaths are tragic and we pray for their families and friends. We also pray for the families of all Police Officers involved because their lives have been changed as well.
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also for the sake of conscience.
August 4th, 2020 marks the first anniversary of the establishment of Moyock Christian Fellowship which went on to evolve into New Wesleyan Ministries. We are excited about where we are today and where God will take us tomorrow. We have followers and guests from 101 countries around the world at last count. Joint us and see where God takes us next.
At New Wesleyan we believe that prayer is central to everything we do. You can reach us anytime by using the form at the bottom of this page. Our prayer warriors are spread around the world but united in prayer.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6

Pray Without Ceasing
This week we pray for our Nation and our President, both are under relentless attack.
We have updated our childcare page for the Moyock, NC area. This page contains only state recognized centers in the local commuting area.
We are entering Week 12 of our prayer series with UNITE714. We are joining churches around the world in prayer for an end to COVID-19 and encourage you to join us each day at 7:14am and 7:14pm. The prayer is written out for you, and simply reading the text at either or both time or any other time of day will support this global call to prayer.
We have posted weeks 12 through 14 to our website.
2 Chronicles 7:14 King James Version (KJV)
” If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.“
