Did You Know is the weekly bulletin of New Wesleyan
Thought of the Week

Truth Matters. We see so many false news stories and even more fake meme’s, posts and comments. It seems so many have lost the ability to speak the truth. Today’s society is so engrained either on the left or the right that there is no middle ground. How can we quote so freely that we love our neighbor, are compassionate, and reflect grace and then call each other names because of our differing views. Our 24 hour cycle of opinionated news is enough to make your head explode.

I was for a very long time a FOX News junkie. One day it dawned on me that the news I trusted was literally killings me. You can no longer find raw news without hunting yourself. The talking heads on FOX, CNN and MSNBC offer a little news and allot of opinion. I stopped watching broadcast news altogether. I’m a much happier person and enjoy life to a much greater extent. I still read the news on the very few websites that offer raw news, but it no longer consumes me.

The Bible verse below isn’t talking about the news, but it does stand as a reminder that the truth will always set you free.

John 8:32

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

Founders Day

August 4th, 2020 marks the first anniversary of the establishment of Moyock Christian Fellowship which went on to evolve into New Wesleyan Ministries. We are excited about where we are today and where God will take us tomorrow. We have followers and guests from 101 countries around the world at last count. Joint us and see where God takes us next.

Prayer Requests

At New Wesleyan we believe that prayer is central to everything we do. You can reach us anytime by using the form at the bottom of this page. Our prayer warriors are spread around the world but united in prayer.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6

We are in fervent prayer for:

  • Charlie Morris – Cancer
  • Peggy Towles – Surgery
  • Staff Sergeant Jamie Ferguson – Royal Army Medical Corps – Suicide

Pray Without Ceasing

This week we pray for the family of Deborah Smith who went to be with the Lord on June 24th.

Childcare Update

We have updated our childcare page for the Moyock, NC area. This page contains only state recognized centers in the local commuting area.

We are entering Week 14 of our prayer series with UNITE714. We are joining churches around the world in prayer for an end to COVID-19 and encourage you to join us each day at 7:14am and 7:14pm. The prayer is written out for you, and simply reading the text at either or both time or any other time of day will support this global call to prayer.

2 Chronicles 7:14 King James Version (KJV)

” If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
