“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? So today we pause and pray that broken hearts be healed due to the loss of a loved one, family or friend. We pray for spiritual healing for those who have drifted from their relationship with God. We lift up those recovering from health issues to our Lord and Savior that they return to good health and wellbeing. Lastly we pray for all of God’s children in our deeply divided Nation.
