This pledge challenge is for my friends in ministry, pastors, laity, and the like, this is for you.
Folks I am committed to working with the Campbell family on this. Healthcare in America is inaccessible to so many thru standard insurance policies.
I encourage all of my brothers in ministry to match my challenge pledge. I’m going to start our small with a $25 match pledge. If you feel inclined to match this pastoral pledge put #match in the remarks so we can track it.
Share some of God’s money with this introductory pledge challenge of only $25. My next pledge challenge will be a double for the first.
I want to share the needs of Pastor Daniel and Peggy Campbell. Brother Daniel is the pastor of a small church just across the North Carolina line, in Virginia from us. He and his wife Peggy have significant financial needs following her surgeries and medical treatments.
Now if what I’m about to say sounds like bragging, it is, but I’m bragging about what God has done, not any man or woman on earth. Last month when this need first arrived, God told the men of MCF to use some of His money to help out.
When I say His money, I’m talking about God’s money. I do so to remind all of us that nothing we have, nothing own, and nothing we’ll get in Friday’s paycheck belongs to us. We are all stewards of God’s gifts here on earth. So I ask you to consider giving some of God’s money to this cause. No amount is too small. I’m reminded of Luke 21:1-4:
21 As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. 2 He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. 3 “Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. 4 All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”
