I first ran this post back in February of this year. I’m publishing it again, because we must remain aware and vigilent if we’re ever to curb the loss of life to suicide.
Suicide is a mental health crisis we don’t hear enough about, and we should. The only way to curb the number of suicides is to talk about it, educate ourselves and others of the warning signs. Make sure you have these numbers in your phone, you may not need them, but you may know someone who does:
- National Suicide Prevention Lifeline – 1-800-273-8255
- Veterans Crisis Line – 1-800-273-8255 (press 1)
- Transgender Suicide Line – 1-877-565-8860
- TrevorLine (LGBT) – 1-866-488-7386
The video below “Life Is Worth Living,” is by Justin Bieber the former bad boy of pop. Justin has matured since becoming an adult. He’s married these days, and happily so. He also is a Christian and he tell’s us that’s the most important characteristic of who he is. Bieber has delivered many charged testimonies and messages to the thousands that attend some of the largest churches in America (mostly in Los Angeles). His bad boy of pop to outspoken Christian is a story of redemption.
