Handicap Accessible Ramp Project

Founded in August 2019, Moyock Christian Fellowship (now New Wesleyan) completed its first major project in October of the same year.

Our first major project was building a handicap accessible ramp for Ms. Natalie Phillips. A long time member of Moyock Methodist Church, she is widely known in our community for running the food pantry at her church as well as the annual angel tree ministry. Her church declined to take on the project, so we stepped in to meet this need.

We were blessed in this effort to work with and along side the men of Moyock Baptist Church. Bringing this unfulfilled need to fruition was a blessing those who made the project possible.

Hurricane Dorian Disaster Recovery on the Outer Banks

Brother Thom represented Moyock Christian (now New Wesleyan) on a mission trip to Avon, NC on the Outer Banks on September 13th, 2019 following Dorian’s devastating affects on the island. Working with St. John United Methodist Church, Thom spent the day cleaning up the yard and former chicken coup. The elderly couple Thom served, lost over a dozen chickens when the island was flooded.
